Remove the rearview mirror cover trim

Remove the plug of the original car data cable

The connectors for different car models vary. This one is for Toyota models. For other models, please search for related information on the internet.

Prepare the harness connector.

Different car models have different harness connectors, please make sure to purchase the same model that matches your car.

Insert the original vehicle cable plug into the corresponding harness connector.

The wiring harness connectors differ between different car models. Please ensure you purchase the same model that matches your car and confirm that the plug fits the socket interface correctly.

Install the harness connector to the car.

When inserting the harness connector plug into the corresponding slot in the car, ensure that the plug is fully inserted.

Connect the harness connector to the harness box.

Insert the other end of the harness connector plug into the corresponding slot in the harness box.

OBD-C cable connects to the harness box

The data OBD-C cable connects to the junction box with the straight end, and the 90-degree connector is reserved for connecting to the Neo 3x main unit.

Reattach the rearview mirror cover to the car.

Before installing the rearview mirror cover, organize the cables and leave enough length outside to connect with Neo 3x.

The OBD-C cable is connected to the Neo 3x.

Connect the 90-degree adapter of the OBD-C data cable to the Neo 3x interface.

Place mount high and centered on the windshieldand install the Neo 3x main unit.

• Vertical Positioning – Ensure the top of the mount is fully visible from the driver's seat.
• Horizontal Positioning – Ensure the mount is centered horizontally, otherwise it will not properly center in the lane.
• Adhere mount – Peel off the 3M tape's cover on the mount. Press firmly in the center of the mount, then the edges. Ensure no bubbles form.
• Let the mount cure – The mount must cure for 48 hours before installing the neo device. Skipping this step will compromise the integrity of the mount.
NOTES
• The mount may be difficult to slide onto the device before it's installed on the windshield. This is expected and will be easier to do once the mount is installed and fully cured.
• Some force may be necessary to initially slide the device on the mount. Before applying any force, ensure the device's mount is parallel to the mount on the windshield.

Installation open-source software openpilot,Select the corresponding vehicle model to use.

Based on your car's brand and model, choose the open-source software you like, and you can enjoy using it. Note that during use, you must concentrate on monitoring the situation and take over the assisted driving system if necessary.
